A heat exchanger with a damaged tubesheet gasket surface came to our new Koggehaven workshop and required restoration.
After weld build-up to repair the packing face, the surface had to be machined back to specification. Limited accessibility due to internal tube coating prevented installation of a conventional flange facing machine. Protecting the coating was critical to avoid additional rework.
We deployed an DL Ricci NB43 Clambshell machine, enabling accurate in-situ machining without disturbing the coated internals. Portablemachining solutions like this deliver workshop-level tolerances.
The result is a restored gasket face ready for reliable operation under process conditions.
