This year we sponsor Eco-Runner Team Delft in their remarkable journey of building the Eco-Runner XIV. This ambitious project, undertaken by TU Delft students, focuses on designing, building, testing, and racing the world’s most efficient hydrogen-powered city car.
Yesterday, the team drove the first kilometers in their attempt to set a world record by driving 2056 km with the hydrogen-powered car. The attempt will take place along the route of the famous Dutch Elfstedentocht route using 1.45 kilograms of hydrogen, without refueling. The Eco-Runner XIV is also the first Eco-Runner allowed to drive on public roads.
We proudly congratulate Eco-Runner Team Delft on their first steps in this extraordinary achievement. This project perfectly showcases the future possibilities of hydrogen technology.
