Code of Conduct &
Privacy
The code of conduct outlines how we aim to interact with our clients, employees, and society as a whole. Integrity, transparency, and honesty are central to this, with respect for the interests of customers, employees, the industry, society, and the environment.
Desired behaviour naturally results from pursuing the core values of respect for others, integrity, transparency, communication, and responsibility. It also stems from good employee conduct and good employer conduct. Employees are engaged in their work, with their colleagues and supervisors, and take responsibility for the tasks they are expected to perform within their role, sometimes in cooperation with colleagues.
The employer and supervisors (as representatives of the employer) are committed to employees, in both good and challenging times, trust them to act responsibly, and set a positive example. Employees, employers, and supervisors alike are responsible for creating a safe and healthy work environment in which all members of the J. de Jonge Group feel encouraged to contribute to achieving the company’s objectives.
Undesirable behaviour arises from failing to acknowledge the core values.
This includes sexual harassment, bullying, aggression and violence, and discrimination, but also other forms of misconduct. Examples include fraud, theft, repeatedly engaging in conflicts, deliberately making mistakes at work, attending to personal matters during working hours, and unjustified absence due to sickness.
All employees are entitled to receive feedback on their behaviour, whether positive or negative. The management of the J. de Jonge Group expects that desirable behaviour will have a positive impact on the atmosphere, collegiality, and ultimately productivity, and that providing positive feedback on such behaviour will have a stimulating and motivating effect.
The opposite is true for undesirable behaviour. First and foremost, any employee or supervisor engaging in undesirable behaviour must be addressed about it. Depending on the seriousness of the behaviour or the frequency of repetition, the matter will be reported to a supervisor, confidential counsellor, or complaints committee. These parties are responsible for ensuring that the complaints procedure is followed correctly. Once the complaints procedure has been completed, the management will make a final decision.
