What will you do?
As the workshop foreman, you are the driving force behind our piping workshop. You lead a team of fitters and welders, monitor progress, and ensure a safe, organized, and productive working environment. You are the first point of contact for work preparation, quality control, and production management.
Your tasks include:
- Ensure prefab projects run smoothly and on schedule
- Monitor the quality and dimensions of the work
- Motivate your team and contribute to process improvement
- Leading a team of fitters and welders
- Reading and interpreting isometric drawings
- Supervising welding work and dimensional accuracy
- Ensuring order, cleanliness, and safety
- Reporting to production management
- Collaborating with work preparation, QC, and planning
- Optimizing work processes
Requirements
- MBO-level education and thinking (mechanical engineering/metalworking)
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in an industrial workshop
- Experience with piping and prefabrication
- Knowledge of welding techniques (ASME, ISO)
- VCA VOL and additional certifications such as VVL-H are a plus
- Strong communication skills, stress-resistant, and motivating
- Basic skills in Outlook and Excel
- Dutch fluency in speech and writing; English is a plus
