JLA Unlocks a Greener Future with Liquid Hydrogen

Hydrogen holds immense potential as the fuel of a sustainable future, being entirely carbon-free and producible with renewable energy. However, transporting hydrogen from its production site to where it’s needed presents significant challenges.

Hydrogen has unique, challenging properties and can therefore be tricky to store and transport. In its gas form, it’s easy to handle but requires a lot of volume and has a low energy density. By cooling the gas to extremely low temperatures, it can be liquified, resulting in compact liquid hydrogen with a high energy density, ideal for transporting large quantities. Instead of multiple ships transporting compressed gas, one ship loaded with liquid hydrogen can do the job. This efficiency is a game-changer but demands sophisticated equipment capable of handling the extreme temperatures of liquid hydrogen.

The crucial puzzle piece
This is where our innovative JLA Liquid Hydrogen Marine Loading Arm (LH2-MLA) comes into play. This innovative piece of equipment allows us to load and unload giant hydrogen carriers efficiently and safely. With vacuum-insulated piping and advanced cryogenic swivel joints, it’s designed to handle hydrogen at super low temperatures without losing a drop.

The technical specifications of the revolutionary LH2-MLA include:

• A 12” product pipe and 16” outer vacuum pipe
• A design temperature of -254 °C
• A compact balanced design
• A high flow rate capacity of up to 3000m3/hr

This innovation isn’t just a piece of tech; it’s a stepping stone to a cleaner, greener future.

Whether you aim to transform your hydrogen logistics or be part of a dynamic team shaping the energy landscape, JLA is the partner for you. Ready to join the hydrogen revolution?
