We’re proud to announce a big milestone in our sustainability journey: in partnership with GAIA Circulair, we’ve recycled over 1 ton of damaged coveralls, showcasing our ongoing commitment to sustainability.
The impact:
Clean water: Conserved 13 liters of water
Decent work: Created 5625 hours of social employment
Responsible consumption: Prevented 900 kg of waste
Climate action: Reduced 450 kg of CO₂ – equivalent to planting 18 trees
Our collaboration with GAIA Circulair goes beyond recycling. We’re ensuring that every piece of workwear is responsibly sorted, repurposed, or recycled, all while providing meaningful employment opportunities, particularly for disadvantaged individuals. The recycled coveralls are given a new life as redesigned products, further contributing to the creation of a circular economy.
Led by our dedicated sustainability department, this initiative reflects our broader commitment to improving the working environment and enhancing our sustainability footprint. At J. de Jonge, we’re not just talking about sustainability—we’re driving it forward.
Together, we’re creating the next gen industry, sustainably!
