As a Senior QC Engineer, you’ll make sure everything we build meets the highest quality standards. You’ll inspect materials, welding work, and finished products, set up inspection plans, and keep the documentation well organized. You know exactly which requirements apply and make sure everything is up to standard – for the client and by the book.
You’ll work closely with project managers, business unit managers, and other colleagues. We keep communication short and to the point, the atmosphere is open, and we love to get things done. Every day brings new challenges, so no risk of boredom here.
Your role in a nutshell:
- Plan, coordinate, and record inspections and quality checks
- Manage QC tasks on large projects or multiple smaller ones
- Guide inspectors and coordinate external inspection bodies
- Review welding procedures and calibration of equipment
- Ensure traceability of materials and welds
- Report quality issues and contribute to continuous improvements
- Maintain and improve our quality management system
- Support a safe, clean, and sustainable working environment
Requirements
- Experience in piping and the (petro)chemical industry is a must
- You can run a project independently or lead a QC team
- Bachelor-level thinking and working (HBO)
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with NDO methods and interpreting results
- Good communicator with both clients and colleagues
- Hands-on, flexible, and proactive mindset
- Experience with Office 365 and SAP is a plus
- Valid VCA-VOL certificate
