Rotating Engineer

J de Jonge - Zonder pay-off - Donkere achtergrond

Are you a technical talent with a passion for mechanical engineering and rotating equipment? Do you get excited about designing, modelling, and technically developing high-end pump solutions? Then Holland Legacy Pump (HLP) is looking for you!

Who we are

HLP develops and manufactures high-quality pump systems for various industrial applications. Our engineers work on innovative, customer-oriented solutions in a technically challenging environment. To strengthen our engineering team, we are looking for a Junior Rotating Engineer.

What will you do?

As Rotating Engineer, you are responsible for the technical design, construction, and engineering development of our products and projects. You work closely with the Business Unit Manager (BUM), with whom you coordinate priorities and project steps.

You contribute to new product development and the optimisation of existing designs, monitor manufacturability, and collaborate intensively with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

  • What will you do?
Develop concepts into 3D models and check manufacturability and feasibility.
  • Perform calculations on constructions and drive systems and prepare technical reports.
  • Draft design specifications and concept drawings during pre-concept and concept engineering.
  • Create final model designs, assembly and installation instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Prepare production drawings, bills of materials, and maintenance and operating instructions.
  • Compile the Technical Construction File.
  • Inform the purchasing department about critical operations and required documentation.
  • Guide projects during both the commercial and execution phases — maintaining contact with customers and suppliers.
  • Record the “As Delivered” version of machines and installations.
  • Report and resolve design errors and propose improvements.

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably mechanical engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with 3D modelling and engineering software such as Solid Edge, Inventor Professional, and Autodesk Esprit.
  • Solid knowledge of design and construction processes, measurement systems, tolerance standards, and material properties.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and familiarity with administrative project processes.
  • Practical experience in structural engineering, preferably within mechanical engineering or machine building.
  • Strong technical insight, analytical ability, and the capability to oversee complex issues.
  • Hands-on mentality: you work accurately, complete what you start, and set the right priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset, with good command of Dutch and English and proficiency in reading technical drawings.

What we offer

  • A technically challenging role in a growing organisation.
  • Working with high-quality products and innovative technologies.
  • Plenty of room to develop yourself and grow professionally.
  • A collegial working environment with short lines of communication.
  • Employment conditions in accordance with the Metal and Engineering CAO.
