Challenge

The project supports ongoing efforts to improve environmental performance and operational efficiency within the oil and gas sector in the Niger Delta region.

The main challenge is to design and deliver a reliable and safe produced water management system — including storage, treatment, and reinjection — in a complex operational environment, requiring strong technical coordination and compliance with international engineering and safety standards.

Scope of work

Within this collaboration, TankX is responsible for delivering engineering and procurement services in close cooperation with ADANO Engineering. The scope includes:

  • Technical consultancy and engineering support
  • Review of design specifications to ensure alignment with industry standards and client requirements
  • Detailed engineering design for storage tanks, piping, and process integration
  • Procurement services, including vendor selection and equipment verification
  • Optimization support, providing design and execution insights to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost control

The overall project comprises the design and construction of eight storage tanks, a comprehensive water treatment plant, and a water injection line — forming an integrated system for sustainable produced water management.
