Dana Petroleum is an international exploration and production company active in the oil and gas industry, with operations across several regions including the North Sea.
J. de Jonge received the assignment from Dana Petroleum for both the prefabrication and offshore installation of several key components as part of the Caisson Replacement Project.
The objective of this project is to replace three existing 30” caisson pipelines — each measuring 50 meters in length — with three new 34” caisson pipelines of equal length. Since the new 34” pipelines are being installed approximately 10 meters away from the existing lines, the scope also includes the installation of two deck extensions, three clamps, and new connecting pipelines. Working offshore under challenging conditions, two alternating teams of five specialists have been operating continuously for over four months, each working 12-hour shifts on a two-week rotation to complete the installation phase safely and efficiently.
The scope of work includes both onshore prefabrication and offshore installation activities as part of a complex and high-precision replacement operation.
