Vesta Terminal Antwerp operates a modern storage and distribution terminal within the Port of Antwerp, providing integrated services for petroleum products and biofuels. With a focus on safety, quality, and sustainability, Vesta supports efficient energy and logistics flows across Europe.
J. de Jonge Mechanical was assigned to install new product pipelines connecting Track 3 to the newly constructed quay wall.
The main challenge was ensuring seamless integration of the new systems within an operational terminal environment — while maintaining compliance with ISO standards and strict planning schedules.
The scope included full work preparation based on detailed isometric drawings and 3D models, followed by prefabrication and installation of new product pipelines according to project pipespecs. Pipe shoes and supports were mounted in line with the standard pipe support book to ensure stability and alignment.
Quality and safety were safeguarded through the implementation of an extensive QA/QC plan, ITPs, and an HSE plan, complemented by J. de Jonge’s own SAFE@WORK procedures. This structured approach ensured consistent control over fabrication, installation, and testing activities.
The new pipeline connection was successfully completed and tested, providing a safe, efficient, and sustainable link between the quay wall and existing infrastructure. The project was executed on schedule and in accordance with all technical and safety standards.
