Meet the Team: Jeroen, Service & Repair Coordinator

At J. de Jonge, it’s all about craftsmanship, commitment, and colleagues who make a difference. One of them is Jeroen, a familiar face within our Service & Repair department. He started in 1996, took a four-year break, and has been back since 2006—ever since, he has been an indispensable part of the team.

 

What makes his work enjoyable?

“Using my technical knowledge. Consulting with clients, coordinating with supervisors… no day is the same. That variety gives me energy.”

 

He is clear about the company culture:

“It feels like one big family. You can rely on each other. And we work with a wide range of clients, both nationally and internationally.”

 

Jeroen’s days are dynamic: coffee, a short meeting, phone calls, client questions, and a lot of coordination.

“It’s hectic, but that’s exactly what makes it enjoyable. We do it together.”

 

What does he value most?

“The variety, the client contact, and the growth I’ve experienced here. The grass really isn’t greener elsewhere.”

 

A particularly personal moment

“After a serious accident in a previous job, I went through five difficult years of rehabilitation. At a crucial moment, I was given the opportunity to start again at J. de Jonge.”

 

“With the words: ‘There’s nothing wrong with your hands, I can use those,’ I was hired. That opportunity changed my life.”
