What will you do?
As the International Service Manager at JLS Loading Arm Service — a specialized Business Unit within the Unit Specialities Division of the J. de Jonge Group — you will oversee and coordinate the handling of service requests and breakdowns related to our loading and unloading systems. These systems are vital for the safe and efficient transfer of liquids and gases in sectors like petrochemicals and tank storage.
You will lead the service preparation process, including job registrations, work instructions, and risk assessments, while ensuring the delivery of clear and reliable repair advice.
Your responsibilities
You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team consisting of planners, technical coordinators, and field service engineers. Your main responsibilities include:
- Managing, coaching, and developing the service team
- Scheduling field service engineers and overseeing back-office support
- Maintaining and expanding client contracts, with a focus on international growth
- Procuring spare parts and services for service interventions
- Providing technical support for complex service issues
In addition, you are responsible for monitoring the administrative and financial handling of service reports and work orders, continuously improving internal processes, and promoting a strong safety culture. You will also play a commercial role by identifying client service needs and translating them into tailored proposals.

- Clear and actionable analysis of service reports
- Efficient scheduling of field engineers
- Up-to-date management of Inventive and continuous development of the Smartflow App
- A technically capable service team, well-versed in client-specific equipment and site conditions
Requirements
- Minimum MBO Level 4 diploma or equivalent
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English is a must; German and French are a plus
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience, with 5 years in a leadership position
