What will you do?
As a Foreman, you will oversee the achievement of production and project objectives. Your role includes communicating progress on the production process to management and guiding assigned employees in their tasks. You will also be responsible for conveying work instructions, permits, and Task Risk Assessments (TRA) to team members.
Your tasks include:
- Supervising the achievement of production and project goals.
- Communicating progress of the production process to the supervisor.
- Directing and mentoring assigned staff.
- Conveying work instructions, permits, and TRA to team members.
- (Overseeing) the execution of production tasks such as maintenance, repair, and revision work, conducting inspections, and resolving minor issues.
- Reporting additional work requirements.
- Reporting problems to the internal organization.
- Reporting (production) results to the supervisor.
- Monitoring inventory management (if applicable).
- Coordinating and overseeing subcontractors within your operations.
- Handling various administrative processes such as work instructions and measurement reports.
- Promoting and adhering to safety, quality, and environmental policies and regulations.
- Establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving quality management systems.
- Delivering projects in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.
Requirements
- MBO-level education and thinking (mechanical engineering/metalworking)
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in an industrial workshop
- Experience with piping and prefabrication
- Knowledge of welding techniques (ASME, ISO)
- VCA VOL and additional certifications such as VVL-H are a plus
- Strong communication skills, stress-resistant, and motivating
- Basic skills in Outlook and Excel
- Dutch fluency in speech and writing; English is a plus
