What will you do?
As a Pump Service Technician, you will disassemble, inspect, and reassemble (rotating) equipment according to assembly plans, ensuring compliance with tolerances. You will work in a safe and responsible manner, documenting your observations and findings regarding the equipment’s status, as well as the disassembled parts. This documentation ensures that the assembly process can proceed smoothly.
You will often work in the workshop or independently on-site, where you will communicate with customers about repairs. In collaboration with the working foreman, you will create revision proposals and address faults in rotating equipment both domestically and internationally.
Your tasks include:
- Disassembling, inspecting, and assembling (rotating) equipment based on assembly plans.
- Documenting observations and findings regarding equipment status and disassembled parts.
- Ensuring leak-tightness through inspections of assembled or individual components following inspection protocols.
- Working on-site and consulting with customers about repairs.
- Collaborating on revision proposals with the working foreman and resolving faults in rotating equipment.
Requirements
- A completed MBO degree, preferably MTS.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in the petrochemical industry.
- Knowledge of rotating equipment (pumps/mixers/fans).
- Familiarity with measurement tools.
- VCA VOL diploma (or willingness to obtain one).
- Knowledge of sales is a plus.
- Knowledge of measurement and control technology is a plus.
- Affinity for electrical engineering is a plus.
