What will you do?

You are responsible for managing and coordinating all projects for the organization, both small and large. Together with the Project Engineer and/or the Construction Manager, you ensure correct and up-to-date administration regarding time tracking, financial processing, and report delivery. You oversee the proper deployment of personnel, considering internal and external regulations. You are part of the Management Team and contribute to the company’s progress based on your knowledge and expertise. You support the Business Unit Manager and other MT members. Additionally, you participate in marketing and sales activities to represent J. de Jonge | Progresso.

• Lead the execution of projects and tasks in the workshop and/or on-site.
• Manage KPIs and prepare financial and management reports.
• Monitor progress, personnel planning, costs, and timely delivery of projects.
• Supervise the production leaders and ensure the development of the operational team.
• Co-chair team meetings and ensure that agreed actions are followed through.
• Monitor contracts and agreements, prevent risks and claims.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and build client relationships (prepare estimates and quotes, handover to internal teams, follow-up).
• Select and create framework agreements with suppliers and subcontractors in collaboration with procurement and/or project managers.
• Provide input for the strategic annual plan and management reports.
• Ensure that administration is in order and data is recorded in systems.
• Advocate and follow safety, quality, and environmental policies and regulations.
• Establish, implement, maintain, and continuously improve quality management systems.
• Deliver projects in accordance with internal procedures and customer requirements.
• Act as Business Unit Manager in their absence.

Requirements

• Completed Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years in a leadership role within a technical environment.
• Proficient in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented approach.
• Able and willing to adapt to changing requirements and circumstances, open to new ideas.
• Remains calm, objective, and in control in difficult situations, accepts feedback without becoming defensive or hostile.
