TankX has been awarded a three-year tank maintenance agreement by Vopak, the world’s leading independent tank storage company, for their energy terminal in the Port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
The agreement marks an important milestone in TankX’s long-term growth strategy and reinforces our position as a trusted partner in safe, high-quality, and efficient tank maintenance and construction services.
The main challenge lies in maintaining continuity of operations within one of Europe’s busiest and most complex energy terminals, requiring detailed coordination with Vopak’s Tank Team and all in-house contractors to ensure that work can be carried out without disruption to terminal activities.
Under this multi-year framework, TankX will provide a comprehensive range of services, including:
Detailed engineering, procurement and construction
Civil and remediation works
Tank jacking and foundation repair
Preventive and corrective tank maintenance
Tank piping systems and interface works
All activities will be executed according to Vopak’s rigorous safety and quality standards, supported by TankX’s integrated project management approach, combining in-house engineering expertise, specialized equipment, and skilled execution teams.
A symbolic moment marked the start of the cooperation when Lotte van ’t Klooster-van Halderen, Site Director of Vopak Terminal Europort, officially opened the doorsheet — representing the beginning of a strong and close collaboration between Vopak and all on-site contractors.
This agreement underscores Vopak’s confidence in TankX’s capabilities and represents a major achievement for the TankX division. Over the coming three years, the collaboration will focus on long-term asset integrity, operational efficiency, and safe, reliable delivery across all maintenance activities.
