What will you do?

As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing technical solutions that contribute to the global energy transition. You will work on projects of varying sizes for leading international clients, primarily in the oil and gas industry, with a clear focus on sustainability and innovation.

You will oversee engineering projects from concept to execution, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards. Your role involves both technical expertise and leadership, guiding a team of engineers and serving as a technical advisor within the company.

• Translate customer requirements into technical designs.
• Develop new concepts and optimize existing designs.
• Lead the engineering process and ensure timely project completion.
• Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and clients.
• Review, verify, and optimize technical documentation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team.
• Monitor project progress, planning, and costs.
• Implement and improve quality management systems.
• Advise energy companies and industrial partners on technical challenges.
• Stay up to date with the latest technological developments in the energy transition.

Requirements

• A completed technical degree at HBO (Bachelor) or WO (Master) level, preferably in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with 3D CAD software and strength calculations. Affinity with control technology is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel to customer locations if needed.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
